Spring Plein Air Painting with Allison Robichaud
Plein air painters are out in all weather. Accomplished plein air painter, J. Allison Robichaud was recently on a painting trip in Charlevoix near Les Eboulements. It's difficult to believe now that we are experiencing this hot, unseasonable amazing "summer-like" weather in April that these photos were only taken two weeks ago.Allison pictured painting by snowbank. Group photo includes Allison with fellow painters including well known Canadian illustrator, Stuart Main, (far right) and in third photo, Catherine Young Bates, RCA. Dedicated painters, no matter the weather, everyone was happily painting and enjoying the day. This particular weekend was a mix of snow, sleet and rain and the occasional sun. Is that snowbank for real or part of the marvel of software?
Allison will be participating in the art symposium in New Brunswick next week so will not be able to attend the Open house at Tay River Gallery on May 4th for the Call of the Wild show.
A number of wilderness landscapes by Allison Robichaud are currently featured in Call of the Wild, the Canadian Wilderness Art exhibition at Tay River Gallery, Perth Ontario in April/May 2008.
