Call of the Wild. Canadian Wilderness Art Show opens today at Tay River Gallery

"Call of the Wild" opens today at Tay River Gallery. The remote, rugged beauty of Canada's landscape and wildlife in their natural habitat is the focus of the spring art show. Paintings and photography by 24 talented regional artists will be exhibited during April and May.

See the show in April and then see the expanded show in May! Two shows, one theme. The gallery will be adding a number of larger works in our newly expanded exhibition space in May.

The show will feature wildlife paintings by focal wildlife artist, Kelly McNeil; bird paintings by France Tremblay, Peter Miles and Cedric Colond, graphite drawings by Stuart Arnett, unusual wild creatures by Stefan Thompson and Jody Richardson;
Canadian wilderness oil landscapes by plein air painters John Alexander Day, Tricia Savoie, J. Allison Robichaud, John Stevenson, Margaret Chwailkowska and Kathleen Wright;
Acrylic landscapes by Charles Spratt , Janet Moore and Leah Dockrill;
Wilderness watercolours by Alan J. T. Bain, Bill Veale and Karen Phillips Curran;
Pastel landscapes by Stephanie Wellman and Normand Baril;
Nature photography by Dieter Rath, Steve J. Coates, Kye Marshall, and Gary Webster.

Rather than have the usual opening vernissage, there will be a mid-show Open House. Meet the artists, view the show and enjoy the refreshments at the Spring Open House on Sunday May 4th at 2 - 4 p.m.

More details about the show to follow shortly.
Note. The gallery is closed on Tuesdays.
