Gallery News. Pierrette Dulude-Bohay

Tay River Gallery is pleased to welcome the works of accomplished watercolourist, Pierrette Dulude-Bohay. Pierrette's expressive watercolours portray the countryside that she calls home in all its wonder of colour and beauty. Originally city raised, Pierrette now enjoys country living and wonderful barnyard animals found outside her studio often feature in her plein air paintings. From first glance, her work communicates the joy, serenity and wonder of place with her superbly skilled brushwork and use of colour.

Pierrette studied visual arts in 1953 at the Ottawa Municipal art Center (now the Ottawa School of Art), and the Schneider School of Art in Actinolite, Ontario and as well as with numerous renowned international artists. She has also taught art in the Ottawa area. Recent eye surgery necessitating the use of prism eyewear did not hinder her creativity but sparked a new and exciting direction. Pierrette has been featured in many publications including the Financial Post, as well as on television. She has won a number of prestigious awards and her work can be found in many public and private collections around the world. Pierrette is a signature member of the Ottawa Watercolour Society and an elected member of the Canadian Society of Artists.Learn more about Pierrette and her art on her artist page.
