Call for Artist Submissions Tay Gallery Kanata

We are now accepting submissions from artists in the Ottawa area for two upcoming shows at Tay Gallery Kanata, City Slick which will exhibited in March and In Praise of Forests, April 2011.

Please email lbrown at taygallerykanata.com with title of art show submitted to in Subject line as well as your name. Email up to 4 low resolution jpg's of recent works, that are particularly relevant to the show's theme as well as your CV, Biography and Artist Statement.

City Slick March 1 - 26, 2011 Ottawa area artists are invited to submit paintings that express 'city' from your personal perspective. This is a small group show with no opening reception planned. Deadline for submissions Feb. 15, 2011.


In Praise of Forests - April 4 - 30, 2011
With Special Tribute to Beaver Pond Forest in Kanata
Plein air painters invited to submit.
The year 2011 was declared International Year of Forests by the United Nations.
In recognition of the importance of forests, and in particular to painters who seek out neighbouring forests for inspiration for their art, this exhibition will show appreciation for all that forests bring to all living things. Deadline for submissions March 1, 2011.
This group show will have an opening reception. Date for reception TBA.

Winter Spring Summer Fall - January show at Tay Gallery Kanata

Tay Gallery Kanata presents Winter Spring Summer Fall, a group show with paintings celebrating the seasons. The show runs until January 31. Tay Gallery is open Monday through Saturday 10 - 5 :30.

Tay River Gallery in Perth is open by appointment only. No shows are scheduled.
Call us at 613-836-4169 for an appointment to visit the Perth gallery or request a viewing of a particular painting you would like to see that you have viewed on our website and we will arrange for it to be delivered to the Kanata gallery for viewing.


Tay Gallery in Kanata is located at 471 Hazeldean Rd., corner of Castlefrank in Kanata, the west end community in Ottawa.

Call for Artist Submissions from the Ottawa Area for Art Show February


We are currently accepting submissions from artists located in the Ottawa area for our February show “Call me Romantic” to be displayed February 7 – 27 2011 at Tay Gallery Kanata.

Tay Gallery is located at 471 Hazeldean Rd.Unit 5, Kanata. Call 613-836-4169. This will be small art show focusing on a few artists only. Please note that there will be no opening reception will be held for this show.

Please send by email up to four images of recent paintings that are relevant to the theme “Call me Romantic” ,with biography and artist statement by January 22, 2011 to lbrown@taygallerykanata.com.
